2nd place for evolution and ecology at Nature Preceedings

I payed a visit to Nature Preceedings today and was happy to see that ecology and evolutionary biology (EEB) is in second place in term of number of submissions that are categorized under this subject. For a while EEB seemed to be lagging a bit but now it looks like there may be a comeback. Keeping in mind that submissions can (and do) belong to multiple categories the breakdown in descending order goes as follows:

1. Bioinformatics: 53
2. Evolution and ecology: 37
3. Biotechnology: 29
4. Molecular cell biology: 23
5. Chemistry: 20
6. Genetics: 19
7. Earth and environment: 14
8. Neuroscience: 13
9. Microbiology: 9
9. Pharmacology: 9
10. Cancer: 8
10. Immunology: 8
11. Development: 3

As another (perhaps less interesting) curiosa, 8% of the submission in the EEB category are mine :-)
